Frightening memoirs

Dalrymple's March 10th column in the British Medical Journal will probably be of interest only to doctors, as it presents the archaic medical advice offered by a Dr. Christopher Howard in his 1930 memoirs, After Consulting Hours, including a defense of bloodletting and warnings against blood pressure readings.
